The lotus is the national flower of India.  It represents long life, honor, and good fortune.  It is also a sacred flower in Hinduism. Rangoli art is usually done in bright colors with a white outline to imitate the white and colored sands used to draw them.  This design in the round with butterflies in each corner is a perfect pillow size.
